There’s no roughing it at Kississing Lake Lodge (and no dark, rustic ambience, either). Our towering chalet-style building soars above the shoreline and welcomes you into its ultra-modern pine-log interior. A massive 26’ stone fireplace centers a light, bright and relaxing lounge area where you can hang out and enjoy drinks and appetizers or sink into a cozy couch with a book and/or beverage of your choice after an invigorating day on the lake.
Because there’s more to Kississing Lake Lodge than fishing; there’s everything you need to make your après-fishing time as comfy as your own home. Our licensed dining room seats 40 and serves delicious traditional home cooking. Just off the dining room and lounge, you’ll note a massage therapy room. And after dinner, walk through the lounge to the sports-bar-like games room, where the TVs are set to sports channels only and you can sink into soft leather couches to catch all the action of your favorite teams. You may choose to play poker, or pool on our magnificent log pool table, or take advantage of the high speed internet access available for your use. Full-mount native animals complete the atmosphere in this homey wilderness retreat.
While some guests prefer to bring their own fishing rods and tackle, others like the convenience of leaving their gear behind. You can have extra peace of mind knowing that we’ve recently upgraded all of our rental equipment to include top of the line rods, reels, and tackle.
Fishing equipment rental:
2 medium to heavy fishing rods and tackle box per person.
COST $75 PER STAY, PER PERSON
As you gear down, marvel at the gorgeous view from our front deck while enjoying a Cuban cigar. That’s right. The store now sells Cuban cigars, the world’s best, another small detail we’ve added for your enjoyment.
And load up on memorabilia – caps, shirts and sweatshirts to remind you of your great adventure every time you wear them.

Be sure to enjoy our full course breakfast in the lodge before you head out for the day. We offer our standard fare daily: eggs, toast, bacon, sausages, pancakes, French toast, oatmeal, juices, and coffee.
A trip to the Canadian outback would not be complete without a hearty and unforgettable shore lunch. This may well be your favorite part of the day. Your own catch of the day is prepared to perfection by our guides, who take as much pride in their shore lunches as they do in finding just the right fishing holes. Try their crispy walleye fillets, fried potatoes, beans, corn, served with a cold one, and you’re sure to pronounce this meal world-class!
After your day on the water, appetizers and a stocked honor bar await you back at the lodge. Home-style dinners, served by our fabulous waitresses, are beautifully prepared by our experienced chef and kitchen staff who take great pride in what they produce. The atmosphere created by the fine dining and friendly staff sends you off in style to enjoy an evening of relaxation, socializing, or, for those who just can’t get enough, fishing!
“We had a wonderful time this year. Your facilities were top notch, service wonderful, food and snacks were excellent. Wildlife is always great to see; beavers, eagles, ducks, and caribou besides the giant fish. A great experience! Thanks!”— Jim Wondergem
