We had a wonderful trip. The first night we were fortunate enough to see the northern lights. The food was excellent! The staff was very attentive and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful. The fishing was great with multiple trophies caught in our group. I did a one day fly out and caught dozens of walleye and northerns, including my first Master Angler northern pike!

Aurora Alert Service
Our attentive team offers an optional wake-up service, thoughtfully coordinated to ensure you never miss a show. While auroras can sometimes be seen early, peak viewing is between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.

Each autumn, Kississing Lake Lodge offers anglers a unique opportunity known as The Fall Trout Bonanza—a season so special it has drawn guests back year after year. As lake trout move to shallower waters to spawn, they become more accessible, creating prime conditions for landing trophy-sized fish. One-Day Canoe Fly-Out Excursions
Scenic Paddle & Picnic (Beginner-Friendly)
Enjoy a leisurely 2 to 3-hour paddle down the scenic File River, perfect for beginners. Weave through rugged landscapes and boreal forest, keeping an eye out for caribou or moose along the way. Your adventure ends with a gourmet lakeside lunch and wine, prepared by our team in a stunning natural setting.

Adventurous Paddle & Picnic (Intermediate)
For a more challenging canoe adventure, paddle from Takipy Lake to Flat Rock Lake via the Kississing River, starting at scenic falls before navigating portages.
